INTRODUCTION

The studios are currently located at 1416 Arch Street,
in the historic Mexican War Streets neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The building is for sale (see http://FirehouseForSale.com ).
The artists will be moving to a new space when the building is sold.

The building was originally a firehouse, the oldest still existing in the city.

There is abundant natural light from 23 large windows.

Most artists work in ceramics,
using the studios' gas and electric kilns.
Studios are available for visual artists working in any media.

Studio members pay a monthly fee and have individual workspace,
but the expansive beauty of the space is not interrupted by cubicle-type walls.
